Send the standard, not a brochure request.
The more of the specification you include, the more useful the first reply will be. If you only have a photo of the old sign, that is enough to start.
Five fields, and we can quote.
Grade, standard, volume, destination and application. Everything else is helpful but optional — and a form that asks for twelve fields gets filled in by nobody.
Or skip the form.
Where we are
Two plantsThree things that make the first reply useful.
Not requirements — shortcuts. Each of these removes one round trip.
The standard, with the year
‘ASTM D4956 Type IV’ is quotable. ‘Reflective film’ is not. If the tender cites a year, include it — the minimum values changed between editions.
The destination country
It decides the certificate, the Incoterm and often the grade. A CE declaration is useless in Texas and a DOT-C2 label is not accepted in Poland.
One photo of the current sign
We can usually tell the grade, the failure mode and the likely substrate from a photograph of the existing installation — including whether the last supplier's film was the problem.
