Road authorities rarely buy one of these alone — a delineation package is studs, posts and cones in the same container.
Solar road studs
Die-cast aluminium body, 6 LEDs, IP68, 3-year warranty. 1,000 mcd on the approach face.
Cones & delineator posts
700 mm cone at 4.5 kg, and a 900 mm rebound post that survives being run over.
Reflective road studs
Ceramic or PMMA lens in an ABS body, for markets that do not electrify delineation.
Warning lights
Five flash patterns, magnetic base, 60 h on two D cells.
A stud is a battery problem, not an LED problem.
Most failures in this category are not the diode — they are the seal and the cell. NVR-SRS6 uses a potted polycarbonate lens over a mono-crystalline panel, with the battery in a separate sealed chamber so a swollen cell cannot crack the lens.

Load values are static compression before permanent deformation, tested at 20 °C. Solar models use a replaceable 3.2 V / 1,200 mAh LiFePO4 cell; the PCB is conformally coated before potting.
Spacing decides whether the road reads as a line.
A 25 m spacing on a straight highway produces a clear line at 100 km/h; 50 m produces dots. On curves the spacing has to tighten with the radius, not stay constant.
These are starting values from EN 1436 guidance and our own project data. Local road authority standards override them — check before you drill.
What ships in the carton
Epoxy is supplied in a two-part capsule sized to one stud, so a crew does not carry a bucket and a scale to site.
