EN ISO 20471 is the European standard for high-visibility clothing, in three classes set by the area of fluorescent and retroreflective material on the garment.
The retroreflective requirement is tested after washing, and the number of cycles comes from the care label: a garment claimed for 25 washes is tested at 25, one claimed for 50 at 50. That is why the fabric is chosen from the wash count rather than from the RA number.
NVR-FR200 is tested to 50 industrial washes at 60 °C and NVR-TC150 to 25 — both reports are issued by SGS (2025-06) and name the fabric, not the finished garment.
