AS/NZS 1906.1 covers retroreflective materials for road and vehicle use in Australia and New Zealand, in two classes that map onto the material's intended application rather than onto a single brightness figure.
Because the standard is materials-based, the same roll can satisfy it and still need a separate sign-level approval, which is where Australian tenders usually add their own requirements.
Our report is issued by AWTA (2024-08). For projects that also require AS/NZS 1906.1 marking on the liner, we print it at slitting rather than adding a label afterwards.
